At the experimentation stage, this color was meant to be reminiscent of cozy summer nights spent by a campfire, but recent events inspired the Twisted Monk Team to pivot.
Summer wildfires are an inescapable reality of living in the PNW. Each year their severity escalates, shifting from distant news about remote wilderness to a jarring personal reality: “OMG, that’s where I grew up!” Watching the Spokane Complex Fires burn down the house where I spent much of my teenage years, the river road where I logged countless hours on my bike, my wife’s childhood home, and even the place where we were married feels devastating. Although thirty-five years have passed since I lived there, the sense of loss remains deeply raw—knowing these cherished places now exist solely in my memory.

A percentage of sales from this limited edition hemp will be donated to the Spokane H.O.M.E Starts Here fund, usually an organization focused on dealing with homelessness in the area, they have also pivoted to refocus on helping all of the people displaced by the Spokane Complex Fires.
All our rope is ethically sourced, fully conditioned, and ready to use. We cut each rope piece to order, and hand-finish them with our trademark, bomb-proof whipping in black. Our hemp is processed with vegan, allergen-free oils and handcrafted in Seattle, WA.
